BUSINESS is booming in Haverhill – and a glittering ceremony complete with stunning trophies helped prove that, on Saturday night.
Haverhill Chamber of Commerce and Industry's CB9 Business Awards were the second such event to be run by the organisation, and took place at Chilford Hall, Linton.

Many of the town's major employers featured, either as winners or sponsors of awards.

There was joy for Mansol Preforms Ltd, which scooped the prize for export achievement, and the coveted judges' award for business of the year, sponsored by Tesco, with the judges saying they were 'impressed by the recent international growth of a long-established Haverhill company'.

Also scooping two prizes was Essential Shops Ltd, an online fancy dress business run from Hollands Business Centre.

Young entrepreneur of the year was Wicked Wheels, but highly-commended was Kiera Rosenwold, who set up Buzzy Beadz last year aged just 13.
Winner of the environmental awareness category was Herbert Retail Ltd, which 'impressed judges with its commitment to reducing its impact on the environment'.

Money raised by the black-tie event will be donated to St Nicholas Hospice, Bury St Edmunds.
