A CARLTON man is to head up a Sawston company’s construction work, delivering projects costing up to £15 million.

Bob Ensch, 49, has been appointed Morgan Ashurst’s area manager for its office in Babraham Road, Sawston.

The company is currently one of three firms working in partnership on a £200 million seven-year building programme for Cambridgeshire County Council, which includes a new £3 million science wing for Sawston Village College.

Mr Ensch, who was previously business development manager and framework manager for Morgan Ashurst, said: “The Cambridge office has a long history of serving Cambridge University and the Cambridge colleges and I’m looking forward to continuing and developing our work across the higher education sector.

“I’m also very excited to be part of the team which will be helping to deliver the Cambridgeshire County Council schools building programme.”

Married father-of-two Mr Ensch has more than 25 years of experience in the construction industry, including experience as a consultant advising contractors on how to improve their businesses, and will head up a team of 60.

He began his career as a buyer for Wilcon Homes and progressed his career at Jewson, Wilmott Dixon, Wates Construction and Asite before joining Morgan Ashurst in 2006.
