A NEW online furniture business in Haverhill is hoping to provide an essential service to the town at prices that everyone can afford.
Suffolk Furniture Partnership, which is based at Hollands Road Business Centre, boasts a wide range of bedroom, dining room and living room furniture on its website, www.suffolkfurniture.co.uk.
The company’s directors Michelle and Shaun Lane can order customers products in many different woods, including pine, oak, ash, beech, MDF and hand-made Sheesham furniture imported directly from India.
Children’s furniture, futons and mattresses are also provided via their online catalogue.
The duo spotted a need in the Haverhill area for a supplier of furniture at prices to suit all incomes and, with an online set-up reducing the high overheads incurred by shops, they decided that was the best way to go.
Michelle, said: “Haverhill has grown and expanded considerably over the last five years.
“It’s twice the size it was five years ago and at the moment you’ve only got one place where you can go and buy furniture.
“Having an online business will alleviate people having to go out of town and it’s a service that should benefit the town.”
Certain items can be delivered next day and the rest between five and ten days after being ordered.
Items can be collected at the Hollands Road unit and while much of the stock is flatpacked, some of the furniture, such as the Sheesham, solid oak and ash, is delivered fully assembled.
The vast majority of the company’s stock is also delivered free of charge.
Suffolk Furniture Partnership is offering a ten per cent discount on orders placed before October 1.
